About me
tashi ann-marie
sanchéz-llaury
I am a queer, Peruvian femme of undocumented immigrant experience. I use
she/they pronouns. I am a multidisciplinary artist (digital and print design), early
childhood specialist, facilitator, and educator. I studied early childhood and bilingual
education while also organizing in the immigrant rights movement; as an educator and
activist, I found my way back to art. My art is inspired by my mama’s colorful quilts and love of flowers. My digital art, illustrations, and crafts include messages of radical self love & resistance.
My design is inspired by my love of collaboration and visual representation.
Through a lens of radical love and honesty, I am guided and grounded in learning and healing in community, the liberation of my people, and creating loving and joyful spaces for community.

graphic design
The art displayed here are pieces I have made into prints or stickers; mainly pieces of my own creation where I mix paper drawn illustration and digital design, edited photography and text ... when I design, I am always looking for balance among vibrancy, delicateness, and boldness. some pieces are for affirmation, some for protest, some for joy.
graphic design: Client work
During my time as a graphic designer I’ve worked on numerous projects for clients. From info graphics, logos, menus, branding, printed material, marketing material, invitations, layout design to coaching and consulting. I especially appreciate community collaborations and connections through my design and facilitation work.
graphic design: long form design
Harvesting Chaos is the largest design project I have ever taken on, its also one I believe in wholeheartedly. This design project lasted three years and also created a space for me to show up as a writer (yes I also write!). Harvesting Chaos is a beautiful offering by Kristianna Smith, a liberation cultural worker, and close friend of mine. She curated, wrote, imagined, and cultivated this offering. The three pages displayed here are three of over 100 pages where I supported with layout designing.

My Art: Crafts
I started crafting for fun, making these affirming and loving pieces for friends and family. I use mainly colorful and floral themes in my crafts. Considering texture and color, negative space and aesthetic. I want the pieces to evoke as much joy, peace, calm, and love in their colors and patterns as in their messages.I combine crafts and illustration in most of my pieces. I really gravitate towards smaller form crafting
-- miniature and petite art is my favorite kind to create.

MY art: illustration
My illustration style is mainly line drawing based. I’ve loved to doodle since I was very young, especially flowers and patterns. I enjoy drawing a lot of the design elements I use in my artwork before moving into the digital space. The pieces displayed above were all drawn on paper first and later digitized and slightly enhanced for color correction only.
